Developmental Services:
   Private Provider Network

Collective Mission of the Network

"To develop and promote the independence and empowerment of people with disabilities through a unified voice of private provider agencies."

Who are the Private Providers?

The NH Area Agency System is enhanced by the presence of many other organizations that provide services and supports to individuals with disabilities.  Some specialize in specific populations or services such as employment supports, behavior-based therapy, or alternative communication strategies.  Some work only in certain regions of the Granite State, while others have a statewide catchment area.  Most are independent not-for-profit entities.

In order to provide Medicaid-funded services, private providers must be certified by the State of NH.  To see a complete list, link here.

Beginning in 1996, a number of these agencies created a professional association, the Private Provider Network, Inc. to enhance opportunities for collaboration.

NH Area Agencies

New Hampshire's ten Area Agencies are the primary conduit for Medicaid-funded supports for individuals who experience a developmental or acquired disability, as well as early childhood educational services (birth to 3 years).  Each is a private, non-profit organization that is certified by the State of NH.  To see an index of NH towns and their assigned region, link here.
